Summer Learning Journey Day 1 A1, A2, Bonus Activity

Germany:
There are two reasons why I chose Germany because it looks really interesting and I am excited to learn more about it. It is well known and famous for their food. Which everybody loves to eat. Sauerkraut and bratwurst sausages. There are the most common food in Germany.
It is a western-european country with landscape of forests, rivers, mountain ranges and north sea beaches.
The amount of people in Germany is 81.1 million people.

-Football is one of Germany’s most popular sport.
-Germany is one of the members of the European Union
-Did you know that over 100 Germans have been awarded Nobel prize in their field. As well as Albert Einstein who was also born in Germany.
These are the three facts about Germany

Letter to my sister: Hi Mia, this letter is to you just letting you know that I am going to a trip to Germany. I would like you to join me and come and explore their traditions and history. I have decided to go because I am writing posts about Germany and I have also entered a blogging competition. I will be there for about 4 days and come back.

  1. Hallo Loseli,
My name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator - I work in lots of different schools with teachers and learners who, like you, are using chromebooks for their learning and blogs to share their learning. I have been emailing with Rachel and she has told me all about The Summer Learning Journey, it is great that you have already made a start. Germany sounds like a great destination but I am wondering if 4 days is going to be long enough to see everything you need to see. You may need to find out how long it is going to take you to get there and how much it is going to cost and then re-evaluate your decision to just be there for 4 days. Have you tried German sausages at all? I have never been to Germany but I have tried German sausages in Auckland. Keep up the great researching, reading, writing, creating and sharing. Enjoy your summer holiday.
    Auf Wiedersehen
    Tania

  3. Fantastisch, Loseli!

I'm Mark and I also work on the Summer Learning Journey! It is fantastic that you have chosen Germany! You won't know, but my brother moved to Berlin 3 years ago and he loves it! I have also visited and really enjoyed my time there.

Did you know Germany has a huge and interesting history? It also has a bunch of castles, including the one that inspired the castle for Sleeping Beauty, which is now also the Disney logo!

It looks like you're a great writer so I'm really excited to read more of what you learn about Germany!

Have a lovely holiday and you'll see me commenting around the place soon!
