Idea City
WALT  Synthesis ideas from different texts
This is my week 6/7 reading task. My learning intention is to synthesis ideas from different texts. The book that I am reading is called Idea City. This text is about a place in New Zealand named Christchurch that has recently had many earthquakes from the past years and all their stuff they were all gone. Luckily Christchurch has many people that has brilliant ideas. About how to bring back their beloved city.

My Speech
WALT  capture our audiences attention (Speech Intro)
Students in school have been bringing them to play in their classrooms and have not finished a single thing from their work on their netbooks or on paper and pencil. Some kids even hide it under their desks so their teachers won’t see them playing with it. In my opinion I agree that fidget spinners should be ban from schools. So that they can get back on track with their work.
In order to guarantee that we save students from these kind of toys and let them not be distracted. So my question to you is “should teachers ban fidget spinners”.
Fidget spinners has been affecting the lives of children in schools. Kids from elementary and middle school have been dieing to buy one. Students are distracted from the fidget spinners, that’s why they have been getting lower grades and levels on their education. Teachers are not sure or have decided to ban fidget spinners in their classrooms or school.

Answer the questions in a different colour
The definition of the mean in a statistical investigation is commonly referred to as the average. It is the total of all the data divided by the amount of data shown.
For example: if we have this range of data 3,5,7,1,2,3,6,8

Answer the questions in a different colour
The definition of the median is the middle number within a set of numbers that have been put in order from size (biggest to smallest or smallest to biggest)
For example: 2,6,4,1,9 = 1,2,4,6,9 and the middle number is 4.
BUT say if there is more than one middle number… the median is found by taking the number midway between the middle pair of numbers:
3,6,1,4,9,2 = 1,2,3,4,6,9 → 3 + 4 = 3.5

The mode is the most frequent number in a set of data. The number that occurs most often.
For example: In a set of numbers 3, 7, 8, 4, 2, 6, 5, 4, 3, 9 there is two modes, 3 and 4 because they appear twice in the data set.
Note There can either be 0, 1 or 2 modes. If there are 3 or more numbers occur the same number of times, there is no mode.

MY IKAN TEST RESULT
Today myself and my maths class have been doing an IKAN test. This is picture is the results from my IKAN test. I have some wrong and most right answers. We were lucky because we can do twice but the other time we did we had to do altogether as one class. But now we did it individuals. I am really happy for my results I have from my IKAN test.
