WALT - Identify & write simple and compound sentences



This presentation is about simple and compound sentences. A sentence is a group of words that form a complete thought. It must contain a subject (Person, Place, Thing or Idea) and a verb (The thing that the subject is doing. I had to highlight the subject and the verb on a simple sentence. Also I had to highlight a conjunction word in an compound sentence.

This is my presentation about 2 texts. They are called The Serious Game & The Whale Child. We had to answer the following questions that our literacy teacher wrote and post it to our blog.
My literacy's group learning intention is Identifying the similarities and differences across different texts.

THE DIGI POI WAS A HIT

Have you ever been to Polyfest before. Well this has been my first time going. This will be the day the I will remember.

Polyfest has traditional performances, music and some dances. Each stage performs their own moves and also gets placed as 1st, 2nd and 3rd. When I go to college I think I might be participating in Polyfest.

My favourite highlight of the day was doing the Digi Poi which was so much fun and also it was on the ASB Polyfest Gallery. It was a hit doing the Digi Poi. I had a few friends doing it with me also and I had so much fun.

My group and I were walking around the place looking for free stuff. We also got some goodie bags from ASB. Inside was some sun glasses, poster, fan and more cool stuff inside. We kept on looking and looking and we got a lot of free stuff from the staff of Polyfest.

At the end of the day we were so hot and sweaty, we couldn’t even breathe properly. When I participate in Polyfest. I can not wait to do all those cool stuff again.

Wonderful Water

This presentation is about myths and legends about Maui and Aoraki. They share stories about there legend and their environment. It is also linked to Te Taiao o Tamaki.

I have drawn was my tongan coat and arms which represents my culture. Second is a cross which means that I love Jesus Christ and that I go church. Third is the most important which is my family. and last but not least is listening to music in my spare time.
