Today I have finished my maths presentation about word problems and the Walt for today is to use 2 different strategies to solve word problems. In this presentation there are Easy, Medium and Hard word problems. I managed to get through them and once we have finished answering the questions we had to complete a Sudoku puzzle.

Walt: use multiplication facts we know to solve larger multiplication problems by rounding and compensating.
My maths group and I has been focusing on our timetables. We were working on multiplication facts to solve larger multiplication problems. Such as the question 17 x 26 which equal what? So I started with the 10's, 10 x 20 = 20, then timing 10 with 6 which equals 60. Next I did the 1's. 7 x 20 = 140 and 7 x 6 = 42. I added all of the answers which equals 442.

Missing Number Sequence- Number patterns
Walt: identify and solve number patterns.
In week 9 we have been focusing on identifying and solving number patterns. We had to solve a task that had missing number sequence and also the rule for growing number pattern. My maths class and I checked and mark this work, so I got all of them right. YAYY!!!!!!!!
